Since the federal investigator doesn't hold the paramilitary responsible for something, it does not recommend any punishment to anybody. By June 2014, Kanjwal and many other survivors of the massacre challenged the outcome of the CBI investigations by filing a protest petition before the designated court docket. The case is going on and it was during the sequence of hearings that the CBI submitted particulars of its findings.

The Chairman appealed to the pinnacle of the UNHRC and other organizations similar to Amnesty International and Asian Watch to take efficient steps to punish their crimes within the IIOJK to revive people's faith in human rights and the worldwide justice system. After every martyrdom, the dedication of Kashmiris to get freedom from India is even stronger and the blood of the martyrs will not go in waste. The Sopore massacre refers to the alleged killing of no less than forty three civilians by the Indian Border Security Force who have been travelling on a bus from Bandipur to Sopore in Kashmir on 6 January 1993. It has been stated that more than 350 shops, few homes, Samad talkies and Islamia College including the hundred thousand books had been burnt to ashes by these bloodthirsty males in uniform.
